Derby Cathedral Peregrine Falcons 2015
After four new eggs were laid, we now have three new chicks!
They are becoming juveniles and transforming into adult birds rapidly. They no longer have their fluffy white feathers, and will be taking their maiden flights shortly.
On Wednesday 17th June 2015, one of the female chicks decided to explore her surroundings and was found by one of the workmen currently working on the Cathedral, who managed to get her into a box until help arrived. She is now back safely atop the tower, albeit a little puzzled as to how she got there!
There are free, weekly watch sessions on a Wednesdays between 11.30am and 1.30pm, weather permitting!
